Ray is a Daywalker Vampire in the Z-O-M-B-I-E-S franchise. He was first introduced in Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 4: Dawn of the Vampires. He is portrayed by Julian Lerner.

Biography

Early Life

Ray lived in Sunnyside with his mother and grew a hatred for Vampires.

Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 4: Dawn of the Vampires

His first scene is when he asks Commander Bright to be recruited to toast the vampires, with the Commander telling him to follow his orders. While heading to the orchard, they discover Zed, whom they mistakenly think is a vampire at first. However, Nova is able to convince them that he is not, and they recruit Zed and tell him about their rivalry with the vampires.

They then reach the orchard, but the vampires arrive as well. After a long standoff, Addison Wells and Zed tell them to send their young leaders to Camp Rayburn with them to unlock the gate and share the orchard. Both of their leaders initially agree with the proposal, but the Commander pulls Nova and Ray aside and tells them to only get the fruit for the Daywalkers, with Ray immediately agreeing and Nova later reluctantly agreeing as well.

At the camp, he and Vera trade jabs at each other. The next day, he tries to burn the vampires but is stopped when Willa scares him and the other Daywalkers (except Nova) away. Addison and Nova try to get them to work with the vampires, but to no avail, which leads to a dance-off (Don't Mess With Us).

They find the first key, and he starts—much to his annoyance—getting along with the vampires. However, he becomes disappointed when he sees Nova hanging out with Victor. The next day, Nova and Victor show the second key, but when the third clue says that only one can win, they believe that only one species can succeed.

To make matters worse, Zed is put in serious condition. After helping the OG crew temporarily stop the pulse, and after Addison’s inspirational speech, the vampires and Daywalkers agree to work together—much to Ray’s annoyance.

Back at camp, he scorns Nova for working with the vampires, reminding her about Commander Bright’s request (not knowing Vera was hearing them the whole time). Nova tells him that it’s none of his business and that stealing is wrong, but he responds that her people are counting on her.

The next day, the vampires and Daywalkers are able to open the bloodfruit gate. Commander Bright confronts Nova after Ray tells him about Nova’s closeness with Victor. After some fighting, the elders declare war on each other to get the bloodfruit, with Ray going with the Daywalkers.

Before they can retrieve the fruit, however, they discover that it has been stolen along with the Lightstone. They also learn about Nova and Victor’s actions, with Ray having a change of heart after hearing Nova’s speech she doesn't want to war with the Vampires anymore and want to be with victor forever because she love him. He uses his Phoenix powers to help Nova and Victor when the eldress tell their people to seize them then Ray tell them see who guess he is he tell them he's a phoenix get it caw caw then he fire at them they duck nova tell ray nice one ray say what would you do without me he chuckle, and they succeed in healing the orchards.

Finally at peace with the vampires, they celebrate at camp, and he dances with Vera.

Locker Diaries: Z-O-M-B-I-E-S

In episode 1, he tries to talk to Vera but angers her after trying to touch her fangs.

In episode 2, he tells Vera to keep the secret about the Moonwalkers coming, but it accidentally makes him and Vargas think that Aliens have Invaded Sunnyside.

in Episode 3, he invites Vera to Sunnyside’s unity exchange program and they accidentally swap bodies but are returned to normal thanks to Nova.

In Episode 5, he tries to pay a debt to Vera after she saves his life.

In Episode 6 He gives Victor a cursed object and Victor accidentally gives him Nova’s Gift to Victor and when asked about it he tells Victor he gave it to Vargas

in Episode 7 Vargas tries to convince him and Vera to join the Unity Board but to no avail.

in Episode 8 he gets interviewed by Detective Vargas for his missing Sunglasses.

In Episode 9 He finds a doll of him that nova and vera used to control him but then gets vera doll and ensues payback.

In episode 10 He takes a night class and thinks someone is after him and ends up fainting but is catch by shrimpy and turns out it was just shrimpy and Vargas surprising him for his birthday

In Episode 11 He finds a Luma Len and accidentially causes Vargas to lose his memory but his memory is return thanks to victor and when victor tells ray to get rid of the luma lens it makes ray lose his memory annoying Vargas and victor
